I went to Trailside to buy my first road bike and had an awesome experience. I returned a couple of times before buying my bike because I was comparing bikes at different stores. The staff was very patient and had answers to all of my questions. They were knowledgeable and friendly and Hans was nice enough to give me a discount on some of the accessories I bought with the bike. I will definitely return and recommend the store to others.
Great shop. They carry the full spectrum - vintage cruisers and road to new ebikes and everything in between. I like that. Owner is relaxed and knows his stuff.
Came in to service my HPC Revolution E-Bike for a broken spoke and Hans took care of me he did a great job and was very quick. I would recommend Hans and Trailside Cycle for there great customer service!
I purposely looked up a bicycle shop in the area. Was looking for a little guidance on what to buy, as I just don't have the knowledge. Walked into the store, credit card ready to use as I was in buy now mode, and a clearly worked up guy comes bounding out with an awkward "can I help you?"
After telling him I wasn't sure what I wanted and wanting to take a look and come back with questions, I was told " yeah...I am moving stuff around, don't really want people walking around the store".

Purposely looked you up to stop in...what a terrible experience. Quite honestly, maybe the most baffling and confusing one I have ever been a part of in a store...ever? Glad you are apparently killing it so much that turning away sales is meaningless to your business. Looks like based on the other reviews that being "rude" isn't new here. Never again...up the road to your competitor I go, maybe my money will be good there!
Went in lunchtime Sunday to get help with a bike chain. I brought my bicycle with me. Only one employee was there and no customers. I told him I had broken the chain tool trying to work with this heavy-duty chain. He told me I hadn't been using it properly. He went over and pulled a new chain tool from the display and handed it to me. "See if this one works." I bent down to work on my bike and he says "Not here. Take it outside." I was puzzled. I told him I wanted to make sure it worked. He said "I'm busy here. Take it outside." I looked around at the empty store and gave him an incredulous look. He said "There's a work stand outside. Go use that." So I left. After this experience I think I will be buying a new bike for my wife at a different store.
His face clearly telling me he had better things to do and I was bothering him (really?!?), he lets me walk out without a word
